Praying from 2 Corinthians 10:18. Themes: Humility, Approval, Faith

Dear Lord, I come before you today humbly, knowing that it is not by my own efforts that I am approved, but by your commendation. I pray that you would guide me and lead me in all that I do, so that I may be pleasing in your sight. Help me to rely on your strength and not my own, and to trust in your wisdom and not my own understanding. Thank you for your promise that it is not he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends. I claim this promise today and ask for your continued guidance and blessing in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
2 Corinthians 10:18

This is a Promise. The verse is saying that it is not self-praise that leads to approval, but rather it is the commendation of the Lord that ultimately matters.
