Praying from 2 Corinthians 12:9. Themes: Grace, Power, Weakness

Dear Lord,

You have said to me that Your grace is sufficient for me, and that Your power is made perfect in weakness. I claim this promise today and ask that You would help me to truly believe it.

I confess that I often try to rely on my own strength and abilities, but I know that I am weak and in need of Your help. I ask that You would help me to embrace my weaknesses and to trust in Your power to work through them.

May Your power rest on me, Lord, as I surrender my weaknesses to You. May I find joy in boasting about my weaknesses, knowing that it is through them that Your power is made known.

Thank You for Your grace and Your power, which are more than enough for me. I trust in You, and I pray all of this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Verse: He has said to me,“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

This is a Promise. The verse promises that God’s grace is sufficient for the reader and that His power is made perfect in weakness. The author then expresses their willingness to boast in their weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest on them.
