Dear God, please help me to stay awake and alert in my faith. May I not fall into the temptation of spiritual slumber like the rest of the world, but instead, may I be vigilant and sober-minded. Give me the strength and wisdom to resist the distractions and temptations that may come my way. Help me to stay focused on you and your will for my life. Thank you for your grace and mercy that sustains me each day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:6
