Praying from 1 Thessalonians 3:4 relating to Suffering, Perseverance, Faith
Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have given us through your word. You have told us beforehand that we will suffer affliction, just as it happened to the apostles. I pray that you give me the strength and courage to face any affliction that comes my way. Help me to trust in you and your promises, knowing that you are always with me. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the assurance that you will never leave me nor forsake me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.
1 Thessalonians 3:4
This is a Promise. The verse is simply stating that the speaker had previously warned the readers that they would suffer affliction, and that this warning had come true. There is no command given to the reader.
