Praying from 2 Thessalonians 2:7 relating to Mystery, Lawlessness, Restraint

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you have given us in your word. I thank you for revealing to us that the mystery of lawlessness is already at work in this world. But I also thank you for the assurance that there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way.

Lord, I pray that you would continue to restrain the forces of evil in this world. I pray that you would strengthen the hands of those who are working to bring your light into the darkness. I pray that you would give us the courage and the wisdom to stand firm in the face of opposition and to proclaim your truth boldly.

Lord, I claim the promise that you have given us, that you will never leave us or forsake us. I trust in your unfailing love and your unchanging faithfulness. I know that you are with us always, and that you will never let us go.

Thank you, Lord, for your promise of protection and your promise of victory. I pray that you would continue to guide us and lead us in the paths of righteousness, for your name’s sake. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way.
2 Thessalonians 2:7

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that there is currently someone restraining the mystery of lawlessness, but they will eventually be taken out of the way.
