Praying from 1 Peter 4:1 relating to Suffering, Christ’s sacrifice, Sin cessation.
Dear Lord, thank you for the sacrifice of your son, Jesus Christ, who suffered for us in the flesh. Help us to arm ourselves with the same mind, to be willing to suffer for the sake of righteousness and to resist sin. May we be strengthened by your grace to endure any trials that come our way and to remain faithful to you. We pray that through our suffering, we may become more like Christ and bring glory to your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
1 Peter 4:1
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to arm themselves with the same mind as Christ, who suffered in the flesh and ceased from sin.
