Praying from 1 John 2:8 relating to Light, Darkness, Commandment

Dear God, thank you for the new commandment that you have given us, which is true in you and in us. We pray that the darkness in our lives may pass away and that your true light may shine brightly within us. Help us to live according to your commandments and to always seek your truth. May your light guide us on our journey and may we always walk in your ways. Amen.

Verse: Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines.
1 John 2:8
