Praying from 1 John 2:4 relating to Obedience, Truth, Deception.

Dear God, please help me to not just say that I know you, but to also keep your commandments. I don’t want to be a liar and I want the truth to be in me. Please guide me and give me the strength to follow your will and live a life that is pleasing to you. Amen.

Verse: One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.
1 John 2:4

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to keep God’s commandments if they claim to know Him, otherwise they are a liar and do not have the truth in them.
