Praying from Acts 24:25. Themes: Righteousness, Judgment, Fear.

Dear Lord, as I reason about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, I pray that you would help me to understand the weight of these things. May I be filled with a healthy fear of your judgment and a desire to live a righteous and self-controlled life. Please give me the strength to resist temptation and to pursue holiness. And when I am tempted to delay or put off my decision to follow you, may I remember the example of Felix and choose to respond to your call without hesitation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, “Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”
Acts 24:25

This is a Command. The command is for the speaker to go away for the time being and for Felix to summon them at a later, more convenient time.
