Praying from 1 John 2:15 relating to Love, Worldliness, Father’s Love.

Dear God, please help me to not love the world or the things that are in it. I pray that you would remove any desires or attachments that I have to worldly possessions or pleasures. May your love be the only love that fills my heart and may I always seek to please you above all else. Thank you for your grace and guidance in this journey. Amen.

Verse: Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
1 John 2:15

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader not to love the world or the things in it, and warns that if anyone does love the world, they do not have the Father’s love in them.
