Praying from 1 Corinthians 7:39. Themes: Marriage, Freedom, Law

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the guidance and wisdom you provide us through your word. As I reflect on the verse that states, “A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord,” I am reminded of the importance of following your will in all aspects of my life.

I pray that you help me to honor the commitment I have made to my spouse and to always seek your guidance in my marriage. I also pray that if the time comes when my spouse passes away, that you guide me in finding a new partner who shares my faith and values.

May I always seek to follow your will and honor the commitments I have made, both in marriage and in all areas of my life. Thank you for your love and guidance.
