Dear Lord, we thank you for the gift of prophecy and for the spirits of the prophets that you have placed within us. Help us to always remember that these spirits are subject to us and that we have the power to control them. May we use this gift to bring glory to your name and to edify your people. Guide us in discerning your will and in speaking your truth with love and humility. May our prophetic words always be in alignment with your word and may they bring hope, healing, and transformation to those who hear them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,
1 Corinthians 14:32
This is a Command. The verse is telling the prophets that they have control over their own spirits and can choose when to prophesy.
