Praying from 1 Corinthians 11:22. Themes: Community, Gratitude, Humility.

Dear God, please help us to remember that we are all part of your assembly and that we should not put others to shame who may not have enough. Please guide us to be grateful for the blessings you have given us, including our homes and the ability to eat and drink. Help us to use these blessings to serve and love others, rather than to boast or look down on those who may not have as much. We ask for your forgiveness for any times we have failed in this and pray for your strength to do better in the future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly and put them to shame who don’t have enough? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.
1 Corinthians 11:22

This is a Command: The reader is commanded not to despise God’s assembly and to ensure that those who don’t have enough are not put to shame.
