Dear Lord, we pray for those who are in positions of power and authority, that they may use their influence for good and not for evil. We ask for your guidance and wisdom to help them make just and fair decisions. We also pray for those who are oppressed and mistreated, that they may find comfort and strength in your love. May we all strive to be kind and compassionate towards one another, and may we never use our words or actions to harm others. Amen.

Verse: The high priest, Ananias, commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth.
