Praying from Ephesians 5:23 relating to Leadership, Submission, Christ’s Headship
Dear Lord, we thank you for the beautiful institution of marriage that you have created. We pray that husbands may understand their role as the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the assembly. May they lead their families with love, compassion, and wisdom, always seeking your guidance. Help them to be the protectors and providers of their homes, and may they always strive to be the savior of their wife’s body, just as Christ is the savior of the church. We pray for wives to submit to their husbands with respect and honor, trusting in their leadership and following their example. May our marriages be a reflection of your love and grace, and may they bring glory to your name. Amen.
Verse: For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
Ephesians 5:23
This is a Command. The verse instructs husbands to be the head of their wives, just as Christ is the head of the church.
