Dear Lord, as we gather around this table, we remember the moment when you took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to your disciples, saying that it was your body given for us. We thank you for this sacrifice and for the love that you have shown us. Help us to always remember this moment and to live our lives in a way that honors your sacrifice. May this bread be a reminder of your love and may it nourish our bodies and souls. In your holy name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying,“This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
