Dear Lord, as we sit down to eat and fellowship with one another, we pray that you would reveal to us any hidden motives or intentions that may be contrary to your will. Help us to be honest with ourselves and with you, and to confess any sins or shortcomings that we may have. We pray that you would protect us from the temptation to betray you or our fellow believers, and that you would give us the strength to remain faithful to you until the end. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Verse: As they were eating, he said,“Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to listen to Jesus’ warning that one of his disciples will betray him.
