Dear God, please open our eyes and hearts to see the true value of things. Help us to understand that material possessions are temporary and that true sanctity comes from you alone. May we not be blinded by the allure of wealth and instead focus on building a relationship with you, the source of all true riches. Amen.

Verse: You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
Matthew 23:17

This is a Command. The verse is a rebuke to the Pharisees for valuing material possessions over the sacredness of the temple. The command is to not be blinded by material wealth and to prioritize spiritual matters.
