Praying from James 1:27 relating to Compassion, Holiness, Service.

Dear God and Father,

We come before you today with humble hearts, seeking to live out pure and undefiled religion. Help us to remember that true religion is not just about outward actions, but also about the state of our hearts.

May we be moved with compassion to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to offer them comfort and support. Help us to be a source of hope and encouragement to those who are hurting.

At the same time, we ask that you would help us to keep ourselves unstained by the world. Protect us from the temptations and distractions that would pull us away from you, and help us to stay focused on your will and your ways.

We know that we cannot do this on our own, but we trust in your grace and your power to guide us and strengthen us. May our lives be a reflection of your love and your goodness, and may we bring glory to your name in all that we do.

In Jesus’ name we pray,
