Praying from 1 Corinthians 10:17. Themes: Unity, Communion, Body of Christ.
Dear Lord,
We come before you with humble hearts, submitting ourselves to your will. We acknowledge that there is only one loaf of bread, and yet, we are many. But we claim the promise that we are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
May this truth be a reminder to us that we are not alone, but rather, we are united in you. Help us to live in harmony with one another, to love and serve each other as you have loved and served us.
We thank you for the gift of your Son, who gave his life for us, so that we may have eternal life. May we always remember his sacrifice and strive to live a life that honors him.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
1 Corinthians 10:17
This is a Both.
The command is to recognize and live out the unity that comes from partaking in the one loaf of bread, which symbolizes the body of Christ. The promise is that through this unity, believers become one body.
