Praying from 1 Corinthians 5:11. Themes: Holiness, Accountability, Separation.
Dear Lord, we come before you today with humble hearts, seeking your guidance and wisdom. We ask that you help us to discern those who are called brothers but are living in sin. Give us the strength to distance ourselves from those who are sexually immoral, covetous, idolaters, slanderers, drunkards, or extortionists. Help us to love them as you do, but also to hold them accountable for their actions. May we not even eat with those who persist in their sinful ways. We pray for your protection and guidance as we navigate this world and strive to live according to your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortionist. Don’t even eat with such a person.
