Prayer based on Proverbs 14:35. Themes: Wisdom, Favor, Wrath
Dear Lord, please grant me the wisdom to deal wisely in all my actions and decisions. May I always seek to please you and gain your favor as a faithful servant. Help me to avoid causing shame and disappointment, and instead bring honor and glory to your name. I pray that your wrath will never be upon me, but that I may always be in your good graces. Thank you for your love and guidance. Amen.
Verse: The king’s favor is toward a servant who deals wisely, but his wrath is toward one who causes shame.
Proverbs 14:35
This is a Command. The verse instructs the reader to deal wisely as the king’s favor is towards such a servant, but warns against causing shame as it will result in the king’s wrath.
