Dear Lord, please help me to be a wise son/daughter who gathers in summer. Give me the strength and diligence to work hard and make the most of the opportunities you provide. Help me to not be lazy or complacent during the harvest, but to be proactive and productive. May I bring honor and glory to your name through my actions and may I never be a cause of shame. Amen.

Verse: He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
Proverbs 10:5

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to be diligent and work hard during the harvest season in order to avoid shame.
