Dear God, I thank you for the promise that I am not in darkness and that the day will not overtake me like a thief. I claim this promise over my life and ask that you continue to guide me in your light. Help me to always walk in your truth and to be prepared for your coming. Thank you for your love and protection. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
1 Thessalonians 5:4

This is a Promise. The verse assures the reader that they are not in darkness and will not be caught off guard by the day of the Lord.
