Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heavy heart, feeling like a wretched man trapped in the body of death. But I know that you have promised to deliver me from this struggle. I claim the promise in Romans 7:25 that through Jesus Christ, you have already provided the way for my deliverance. I trust in your power and grace to set me free from the bondage of sin and death. Thank you for your unfailing love and mercy. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse expresses a cry for deliverance from sin and the promise is that there is a deliverer who can rescue the reader from the body of death.
