Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for revealing to us a righteousness of God that is apart from the law. We claim this promise that has been testified by the law and the prophets. We know that we cannot earn our righteousness through our own efforts, but we trust in your grace and mercy to make us righteous.
Help us to live a life that is pleasing to you, and to always seek your will in all that we do. May we be a testimony to others of your righteousness and love.
We thank you for this promise and for the gift of salvation through your son, Jesus Christ. May we always remember that our righteousness comes from you alone.
In Jesus’ name we pray,

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that a righteousness of God has been revealed, which was testified by the law and the prophets. It is not giving a command to the reader.
