Praying from Romans 2:22. Themes: hypocrisy, adultery, idolatry
Dear God, please help me to live a life that is consistent with the values and principles that I profess to believe in. May I not be a hypocrite who condemns others for their actions while engaging in the same behavior myself. Help me to resist temptation and to remain faithful in all my relationships. May I also have a deep reverence for you and not be tempted to worship anything or anyone else. Thank you for your grace and forgiveness when I fall short. Amen.
Verse: You who say a man shouldn’t commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?
Romans 2:22
This is a Command. The verse is challenging the reader to examine their own actions and hypocrisy in regards to their beliefs and moral standards.
