Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you will never leave nor forsake me. I pray that I may not be like the generation that erred in their hearts and did not know your ways. Help me to always seek your will and follow your path. May I never stray from your truth and may my heart always be aligned with yours. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the promise of eternal life with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said, “They are a people who err in their heart. They have not known my ways.”
Psalms 95:10
This is a Promise. The verse describes God’s frustration with the Israelites who wandered in the wilderness for forty years and did not follow His ways. There is no direct command or instruction given to the reader.
