Praying from Hebrews 3:10 relating to Displeasure, Error, Ignorance

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you have given us in your word. You have said that you were displeased with that generation because they always erred in their heart and did not know your ways. Lord, I pray that you would help me to know your ways and to follow them with all my heart. I pray that you would give me the wisdom and understanding to discern your will and to walk in your paths. Help me to be obedient to your commands and to trust in your promises. Thank you for your faithfulness and for your love that never fails. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘ They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways.’
Hebrews 3:10

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement of God’s displeasure with a generation that continually errs in their heart and does not know His ways. There is no command given to the reader.
