Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you have borne my reproach and shame on the cross. I claim this promise today and ask that you help me to live in the freedom and victory that you have won for me. May I never forget the sacrifice you made for me and may I always live in the light of your love and grace. Thank you for covering my shame and for giving me a new identity in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Because for your sake, I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face.
Psalms 69:7
