Prayer based on Psalms 62:3. Themes: Justice, Oppression, Power

Dear Lord,

We come before you with heavy hearts, asking for your mercy and grace. We see the world around us filled with violence and hatred, and we cry out to you for help.

How long will we continue to assault one another? How long will we tear each other down like a leaning wall or a tottering fence? We know that this is not your will for us, and we ask for your forgiveness for the times when we have contributed to this brokenness.

Please help us to be agents of peace and love in the world. Give us the strength and courage to stand up against injustice and to work towards healing and reconciliation.

We trust in your goodness and your power to transform hearts and minds. May your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Verse: How long will you assault a man?Would all of you throw him down, like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
Psalms 62:3

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to stop assaulting a man and to not throw him down like a leaning wall or tottering fence.
