Dear Lord, we come before you humbly and ask for your forgiveness for the sins of our mouths and the words of our lips. We pray that you would help us to be mindful of the power of our words and to use them to build up and encourage others. We ask that you would catch us in our pride and humble us, so that we may speak truth and love. We also pray for those who use their words to curse and lie, that they may be convicted of their wrongdoing and turn to you for forgiveness and redemption. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
