Prayer based on Psalms 59:11. Themes: Justice, Protection, Power

Dear Lord, we come before you today with a heavy heart. We ask that you guide us in our actions and help us to remember that violence is never the answer. Please do not let us forget the value of human life, even in the face of adversity. We pray that you will use your power to scatter those who seek to harm us and bring them down. Lord, we ask that you be our shield and protect us from all harm. Help us to trust in your plan and to always seek your guidance. Amen.

Verse: Don’t kill them, or my people may forget.Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield.
Psalms 59:11

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not kill the enemies of God’s people, but instead to scatter them by God’s power.
