Prayer based on Psalms 53:1. Themes: Foolishness, Corruption, Iniquity
Dear Lord, we come before you today acknowledging that there are those who deny your existence and live in corruption and sin. We pray that you would open their hearts and minds to the truth of your love and grace. Help us to be a light in the darkness and to show them the goodness of your ways. We also ask for your forgiveness for any ways in which we have fallen short and done wrong. May we strive to do good and honor you in all that we do. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Verse: The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.
Psalms 53:1
This is a Command. The verse is a warning against denying the existence of God and a condemnation of those who do so. It urges the reader to acknowledge God’s existence and avoid corrupt and sinful behavior.
