Dear God, please help me to not just appear righteous to others, but to truly be righteous in my heart and actions. May I not be filled with hypocrisy and iniquity, but instead be filled with love, kindness, and honesty. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to you and to be a true reflection of your goodness. Amen.

Verse: Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Matthew 23:28

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to avoid hypocrisy and iniquity and to strive for genuine righteousness both inwardly and outwardly.
