Prayer based on Psalms 49:17. Themes: Death, Materialism, Legacy

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that when I die, I will carry nothing away and my glory won’t descend after me. Help me to remember that the material possessions of this world are temporary and that my true treasure lies in you. May I live a life that reflects your love and grace, and may my legacy be one that points others to you. Thank you for the assurance that my true inheritance is in heaven, and that I will one day be with you forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: for when he dies he will carry nothing away. His glory won’t descend after him.
Psalms 49:17
