Prayer based on Psalms 37:14. Themes: Oppression, Violence, Justice
Dear Lord, we come before you with heavy hearts as we see the wicked drawing out their swords and bending their bows to harm the poor and needy. We pray for your protection over those who are vulnerable and defenseless. Please guide them on the path of righteousness and keep them safe from harm. We ask that you soften the hearts of those who seek to do harm and bring them to repentance. May your justice prevail and your mercy be extended to all. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.
Psalms 37:14
This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader to be aware of the wicked who seek to harm the poor and upright, and to take action to protect them if possible.
