Praying from Psalms 143:6. Themes: Thirst, Longing, Surrender

Dear Lord, I come before you with open hands, spreading them out to you in surrender. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land in need of rain. I claim the promise that you will satisfy my thirst and fill me with your living water. Quench my thirst, O Lord, and refresh my soul with your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land.
Psalms 143:6

This is a Promise. The verse expresses the psalmist’s longing for God’s presence and his belief that God will satisfy that longing.
