Praying from Psalms 137:7. Themes: Judgment, Destruction, Prayer
Dear Yahweh, please remember the wickedness of the children of Edom on the day of Jerusalem. They called for its destruction, even to its foundation. We ask for your justice and mercy to be poured out upon them. May they come to repentance and turn to you. Amen.
Verse: Remember, Yahweh, against the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem, who said, “Raze it! Raze it even to its foundation!”
Psalms 137:7
This is a Command. The verse is a plea for God to remember the actions of the Edomites who called for the destruction of Jerusalem. There is no promise made to the reader.
