Prayer based on Psalms 44:11. Themes: Suffering, Exile, Providence.

of God’s protection and guidance:

Dear Lord, we come before you humbly acknowledging that we are like sheep, vulnerable and in need of your protection. We recognize that we have been scattered among the nations, but we claim your promise that you will never leave us nor forsake us. We trust in your guidance and provision, knowing that you are our shepherd who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls. Help us to follow your voice and to walk in your ways, even in the midst of uncertainty and adversity. We thank you for your faithfulness and for the assurance that you are with us always. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Verse: You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.
Psalms 44:11

This is a Promise. The verse is a lamentation about the suffering of the Israelites, acknowledging that they have been scattered among the nations and made vulnerable like sheep. There is no explicit command given to the reader.
