Prayer based on Psalms 119:53. Themes: Indignation, Wickedness, Law

Dear God, I come before you with a heavy heart, filled with indignation because of the wicked who forsake your law. I pray that you would open their eyes to the truth of your word and lead them back to your loving embrace. Help me to have compassion for them, even as I stand firm in my own faith. Give me the strength to speak out against injustice and to be a light in the darkness. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Verse: Indignation has taken hold on me, because of the wicked who forsake your law.
Psalms 119:53

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not forsake God’s law and to feel indignation towards the wicked who do.
