Prayer based on Psalms 106:34. Themes: Obedience, Consequences, Faithfulness

Dear Yahweh, we pray that we may always follow your commands and not deviate from them. Help us to be merciful and compassionate towards all peoples, just as you are. May we never resort to destruction or violence, but instead seek to build bridges and foster understanding. Guide us in our actions and thoughts, so that we may always honor your name and bring glory to your kingdom. Amen.

Verse: They didn’t destroy the peoples, as Yahweh commanded them,
Psalms 106:34

This is a Command. The verse is referring to the Israelites not following God’s command to completely destroy the peoples in the land they were conquering. The command was to eliminate all the inhabitants and their idols to prevent the Israelites from being influenced by their pagan practices.
