Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your promise that you cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for us to cultivate, so that we may produce food out of the earth. I claim this promise today and ask that you provide for our needs. Help us to be good stewards of the land and to use your resources wisely. May we always remember that you are the source of all our blessings and give you thanks for your provision. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise.
The verse is stating that God provides grass for livestock and plants for humans to cultivate in order to produce food from the earth. It is not giving a command to the reader, but rather describing God’s provision for his creation.
