Dear Lord, please help me to be honest and generous with my neighbors. May I never withhold what I have when someone is in need. Give me the wisdom to discern when to give and when to hold back, and the courage to act on that discernment. Help me to be a good neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand. Amen.

Verse: Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you,” when you have it by you.
Proverbs 3:28

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader not to make false promises to their neighbor when they have the means to fulfill their request at the present moment.
