Dear Lord,
As I read these words, I am reminded of the importance of being a good neighbor and helping those in need. Please guide me in my interactions with others, that I may be a source of support and encouragement.
If I am ever called upon to become collateral for a neighbor or strike my hands in pledge for a stranger, give me the wisdom to discern the right course of action. Help me to act with compassion and generosity, but also with prudence and discernment.
Above all, may my actions reflect your love and grace, and may I always seek to honor you in all that I do.
Amen.
