Prayer based on Proverbs 24:18. Themes: Judgment, Repentance, Divine Anger
Dear Lord Yahweh,
I come before you today claiming the promise that you will turn away your wrath from me. I pray that you will not see any wrongdoing in me that would displease you. Instead, I ask that you would guide me in your ways and help me to live a life that is pleasing to you.
I trust in your mercy and grace, knowing that you are a God who forgives and restores. May your love and kindness be upon me, and may I always seek to honor you in all that I do.
Thank you for your promise to turn away your wrath from me. I receive it with gratitude and faith, knowing that you are faithful to your word.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: lest Yahweh see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
Proverbs 24:18
This is a Promise. The verse is saying that if someone does something displeasing to Yahweh, and he sees it, he may become angry and punish them. However, if Yahweh does not see it, he will not be angry and will not punish them.
