Prayer based on Proverbs 14:10. Themes: Isolation, Emotion, Trust

Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that my heart knows its own bitterness and joy, and that I do not have to share these with a stranger. I pray that you would help me to trust in this promise and to find comfort in the fact that you understand my heart better than anyone else. Help me to turn to you in times of both joy and sorrow, knowing that you are always there to listen and to comfort me. Thank you for your love and your faithfulness, and for the peace that comes from knowing that I am never alone. Amen.

Verse: The heart knows its own bitterness and joy; he will not share these with a stranger.
Proverbs 14:10

This is a Promise. The verse is acknowledging that the heart experiences both bitterness and joy, but it will not share these intimate emotions with a stranger.
