Praying from Philippians 1:23 relating to Heaven, Desire for Christ

Dear Lord, I am hard pressed between the two, torn between the desires of this world and the longing to be with You. But I claim the promise that being with You is far better than anything this world can offer. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You and to live each day with the hope and assurance of eternal life in Your presence. Strengthen me to resist the temptations of this world and to seek Your will above all else. Thank You for the promise of eternal life with You, and for the peace and joy that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
