Praying from Matthew 7:9 relating to Love, Provision, Trust
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude and thanksgiving. You are the giver of all good things, and I know that you will never give me a stone when I ask for bread.
Lord, I claim the promise in your word that says, “Or who is there among you who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?” I know that you are a loving and compassionate Father who always provides for his children.
So today, I ask for your provision in my life. I ask for the bread that I need to sustain me and my family. I trust that you will provide for us, just as you promised.
Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and your love. I know that I can always count on you to provide for me, and I am grateful for that.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
Verse: Or who is there among you who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
Matthew 7:9
This is a Promise. The verse is assuring the reader that if they ask God for something good, He will not give them something bad in return.
