Praying from Matthew 3:9 relating to Salvation, Repentance, Faith
Dear God, please help me to never rely on my own accomplishments or heritage, but to always remember that it is only through your grace and mercy that I am a child of God. Help me to trust in your power to raise up children to Abraham from even the most unlikely places, and to always have faith in your ability to work miracles in my life. Amen.
Verse: Don’t think to yourselves, ‘ We have Abraham for our father,’ for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
Matthew 3:9
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader not to rely on their lineage or ancestry for salvation, but to recognize that God can choose anyone to be His children.
